Calgary, AB – The final weekend of the 2018-2019 AJHL season is here and the Mustangs look to finish strong
heading into the playoffs.
Powerplay: 13.26% (13th) Penalty Kill: 75.23% (15th)

Currently, the Mustangs sit in fifth in the south division but look to climb into fourth to hold
home ice in round one in the 2019 Inter Pipeline Cup Playoffs. The Mustangs are likely to face
the Camrose Kodiaks in round one, who sit three points ahead in the standings. The Mustangs
will hit the road for their final two games of the season with a cross-town matchup with the
Calgary Canucks before heading to Drumheller for an afternoon date with the Dragons.
Player to Watch: Joel Krahenbil is on a goal-scoring streak of three games, and five points in his
last five games. The 6’2 forward has three points in three games when playing the Canucks and
has 20 points in 48 games this season.

these two teams took place on Feb. 4, resulting in a 4-2 win for the Mustangs.
Player to Watch: Nic Herringer is coming off a four-point game against the Canmore Eagles and

The second matchup between the Dragons and the Mustangs, as they previously squared off on
Tuesday, Feb. 26. at Father David Bauer, the Mustangs won that game 5-2. The Dragons do
hold the edge this season in total matchups with the Mustangs, leading the season series 3-2.
The Dragons will make a stop in Old’s on Saturday, March 2, before heading back home to host
Player to Watch: Derrick Budz extended his point streak to seven games in the last weeks
matchup with the Mustangs. The forward from Yorkton, Saskatchewan has 21 goals and 40
points in 58 games this season.
